Soundboard made of Sitka spruce with Padauk risers under the brass bridges so the rods clear the soundboard. While not as rugged as the solid Padauk model, these are slightly lighter and have slightly more volume. These would still need amplification for playing in a group setting. These are available in 10-9 and 13-12.
